Pateince

Patience is a virtue...

Though to this i must ask, why? Why must we be so patient? But rather, the procces of which we must wait for should take a bit less time perhaps?

About two weeks ago my paper was submitted to the young writers contest by my English instructor.
Made me fel somewhat good, because this is a state level competition and my paper ws chosen to be the best out of a few 100. But the only problem is, I still have to wait another month to find out if it won or not. So why then, does it take a group of people a month or more just to read and judge around 20-30 papers? I can see all of the possibly qualifications for a winner, but still, do they only spend around 20 mins max each day delegating on a papers meaning, grammer, and creativeness? My paper was only 15k characters, or around 3,000 words(limit being 5000 words).

So, what do you think?
A) I should be more patient?
or
B) People should be a bit more deliberate in their work?
